Stickbait / walking bait floating GLIDE DOG 100 SKY SHAD FLAKE
With a classic floating stickbait look (hard surface lure with a stick shape) this is a very technical hard lure dedicated to fishing where precision is required. It is also a lure designed for slide fishing with different retrieve rates to adapt to each predator.
To get the most out of the Glide Dog 100, we work the lure with the rod tip just above the surface of the water which allows it to be effective in 95% of the situations encountered where a WTD (walking the dog) cadence is sometimes too robotic and is identified as such by pike, black bass, perch or sea bass.
On a pause, the lure remains in an almost horizontal position which imitates to perfection a sick or dying fish. The Glide Dog offers a medium to crystal clear sound thanks to the glass beads it contains in addition to the balancing weight.
Very comfortable with different amplitudes of twitch, it also supports most retrieve speeds: slow, moderate and fast. Its walking the dog action is very attractive at slow to medium speeds, the action for which it was developed. These 3 retrieve cadences allow it to adapt to the different water temperatures / activity of the targeted species on the fishing zone.
The Glide Dog is excellent to make these lateral slides, wider than those of a walking the dog, we call it medium slide, with or without pause. A series of medium speed slides are ideal to decide big black bass and nice pike, often indecisive on a too fast WTD, which they have become used to spot.
The SKY SHAD FLAKE color is a silver metallic base made for canal, pond and lake fishing in clear water as well as sea fishing for sea bass in calm weather when the sea is slick and the wind is absent. This lure color offers a perfect imitation halfway between roach and bleak, a must for surface fishing for perch, pike and big black bass.
So the best retrieve that we recommend with the Glide Dog 100 is composed of medium or short glides with pauses. As it moves, it shows its sides and ejects bubbles from its tail, just like a fish caught in a panic or chased on the surface.
It is the ideal lure for hesitant / educated fish on difficult lakes where precision is required. Its strength lies in its ability to adapt to slow fishing, which makes it the first choice for prospecting small areas where the angler will not be given a sloppy presentation or a second chance.
Finally, on the sea side it is a first choice for sea bass, especially in calm weather where it differs from its competition by a high-pitched sound recognized as the most incisive on the aggressiveness stimulus of sea bass.
